My love of photography started when my 4 kids were little.  I was always taking pictures with my cheap 35 millimeter, everything from my son in his superman cape sitting on his potty chair to my daughter having a mud pie free for all ( you moms know what I'm talking about)  I loved documenting the growing up years, and then I finally figured out what to do when I grew up. 

In my mid 40's I started Montague Photography.  It took off beyond my wildest dreams and some times my business dragged me along.  One week I  photographed 7 weddings.  I get tired thinking of it.  The last 14 years have been exciting.  I have won national and international awards and earning my masters from PPA was big, but my biggest thrill is still the feeling I get knowing I am documenting other peoples lives, preserving memories and moments.  The two year old who is all over the studio with a big smile.  The teenager who has to be coaxed to be themselves.  The new mom with sleep deprived eyes, but glowing with love,  the challenges of a family of 25, the elderly couple who hasn't had a picture of themselves in 40 years, but want one for the grandkids, the bride, with dreams and hopes shinning from her.  I love all of it, and I feel blessed to be a part of the great community of photography.   It's a great life!
